Projectors are used to project various images onto a screen, wall or other surface. Projector technology has advanced over the years and now many projectors have a host of different features that range from image quality and size to connectivity options.

A projector works by using a light source, commonly a lamp but also sometimes LED lights, that shines a light through a lens onto a mirror which then directs the light toward the display. The device that receives the projected image can vary widely in shape and size depending on what type of media you wish to project onto it such as overhead transparencies or slides.

Projectors are only as good as the light they are projecting. This article will go through five ways to make projector brighter!

1. Install a High-Quality Light Bulb

2. Adjust Brightness Levels

3. Use LED Lightbulbs

4. Hang White Sheeting Around the Projector

5. Make It More Fun

1. Install a High-Quality Light Bulb

A high quality light bulb will leave you with a brighter picture. High quality light bulbs will last the longest outlasting regular bulbs by about 50% [to be used as reference]. For example, if you have a 70W bulb and use it for 100 hours, you are only using 40% of its total life span (60W out of 120W) on average. This can add up to a lot of money! So installing a high-quality light bulb is definitely worth it.

2. Adjust Brightness Levels

You can adjust the brightness levels of your projector. Just hit the brightness button on screen and you will see a slider for adjusting intensity, it is usually in the middle. You want to do this if the image is too dark or too bright, and it will not just make things brighter, but more realistic!

3. Use LED Lightbulbs

LED light bulbs are also very bright but last a very long time, I recommend getting as many as you can afford to purchase since they are a lot more affordable than regular lights [to be used as reference].

4. Hang White Sheeting Around the Projector

I have personally never done this, but it can really give a brightness boost to your room. All you have to do is take white sheets of paper and hold them up in front of the projector! This works best if you use a white wall as a backdrop.

5. Make It More Fun

Next, make the projector more fun for the kids that are watching it! You can do this by playing music or games at the same time that you are showing a movie or doing an educational activity.
